Dear Space Invaders!
If you are here, it's because you need my help. In these hard economic times, hiring a cleaner just won't cut it. But that's not true. If you are working, you are working even harder, Am i right? So a cleaner is needed.
My prices are still the same (and will be for a while). Now is the time to keep a clean home in order to have a sound mind. Making the usual social networking connections on weekends can open up doors to a new adventure,a new you.
You come home, put your feet up, pop off a beer or a DVD of Sex and the City ( the 4th season ) and relax. Your house is spotless. Suze Orman is dead wrong when she said on Oprah " Your FICO score is you". Nah! your house is you.

Vacation time
Dear Space Invaders,
I have to take some time off soon because as you know, I am really tired. Yes, I too run out of stamina, and well, I need some resting time. So schedule an appointment after January 6th, 2009. I will not be taking anymore clients before then. :( sorry

Dear Space Invaders,
No, I am not taking philosophy, that is Johannes Kepler, 17th century Mathematician and Astronomer and astrologer (no real difference at the time). He is the man who came out with the "Laws of Planetary Motion" data taken from Tycho Brahe, Danish Astronomer,Alchemist and rich boy. They had a bitter sweet relationship, times were Kepler said " FU Tycho, I'm going back to Prague!" but they would reconcile time and time again. After Tycho's death, Kepler continued on with the work which made him an important figure in Astronomy today.

So being Rocket Maid is not just about cleaning and keeping a safe environment but learning about the universe and those who helped shape our understanding of it.
Things I would like to understand better: Mass (what is exactly) and the black hole (damn u black hole, defying laws of physics!)

Signs of Life
Hello Space Invaders,
Fall is here. Fall cleaning is becoming a trend. In fact, all season cleanings are. What is fall cleaning? It is simple.
First: Curtain change to a slightly darker color. Curtains should be washed every three months. Allergens get trapped there and you can get sick.
Second: Since our economy is not doing well,donating your summer frocks would be an advantage. Less clothes = more space. Clutter is an enemy to Rocket Maid. His name is El General Clutter. He usually likes to camp around bachelor pads.
Third: New Mop, New Broom. The fall is a good time to change mop heads and buy a new broom. It should be done every fall and spring. Unless you have the patience to sanitize them,(wouldn't recommend it) buy them.
Fourth: When I think of fall, i think of cinnamon. I know, it sounds insane. But space invaders, what scent makes you think of the fall season? see if you can put that in your apartment.
Fall is a great time to start over. Stick to your routines, just because summer is over doesn't mean you should stop running, eating right, or cleaning.

Holy Copernicus!
Dear Space Invaders,
I am sorry. I have not written in 7 light years. There were so many dirty spaces to clean, I don't know how long this dirt war is gonna last.
Co-op America has issued their latest green cleaning tips. We are slowly turning "green" ourselves. RM is using bleach without chlorine. We also use rags, not paper towels, because you can't recycle them. Since recycling is part of the law in NYC, the attitude around here in Planet NYC is going green. But going green is not all about the environment, it's about health. Certain cleaning products have ingredients that can make you sick.
For those humanoids that read my blog (the two of you) you know how attached I am with FANTASTIK. Well no more. Plus it's so expensive, how about that? You pay them to slowly kill you artificially.
Oi,enough with these deep thoughts, I know. I will hook you guys up with the co-op america link:

Rocket Maid wishes you a happy Earth Day!
Dear Space Invaders,
Happy Earth Day! I love all the planets in the solar system, but I love the planet Earth the most. There is a special blog I like to read about recycling and such goodies.
It's called Co-op America. I discovered this cool place when searching for clothing companies that use child labor. They blow up spots on Gap, Banana Republic, etc without sounding like elitist's.
